How LAZ Is Organised
Standing Committees
Comprising the President, Vice-President and senior office bearers, the Executive Committee oversees the day-to-day strategic direction of the Association between Council meetings.
Responsible for standards of legal education and training, including liaison with universities and the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education on the pupillage programme.
Sets the annual CPD points requirement, accredits training providers, and organises the Association's own CPD workshops and seminars.
Considers complaints against members, administers the Code of Conduct, and oversees the disciplinary process.
Coordinates pro bono legal aid clinics and partnerships supporting access to justice for under-served communities.
Promotes gender equity within the profession and advances the Association's human rights advocacy.
Represents the interests of pupils and members early in their careers, and organises networking and mentorship events.
Works to expand access to legal services in rural and under-served areas, including through partnerships with the Judiciary and civil society.
